Privacy Policy
How Gifted Hoops handles player, parent, and customer information.
1. Information We Collect
Account info you provide (name, email, password hash). Player profile info submitted by you or your guardian (school, class, position, socials, highlight links). Payment metadata from Stripe (last-4, cardholder name, billing region — we never see full card numbers). Basic analytics (page views, device type, referrer).
2. How We Use It
To operate the site, personalize your experience, deliver Insider content, process event registrations and subscriptions, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and improve coverage.
3. Player & Parent Protections
Parent/guardian contact info is private by default and never appears on a public profile. Profiles for players under 18 require guardian consent to publish. You may request correction, removal, or a profile claim at any time — we honor these promptly.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card data goes directly to Stripe under their PCI-DSS certification; Gifted Hoops does not store card numbers. See Stripe's privacy notice for details.
5. Third-Party Services
We use: Stripe (payments), Supabase (hosted database & auth), Lovable Cloud (hosting), and standard email delivery. These providers process data only as needed to run the service and are bound by their own privacy terms.
6. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies for login sessions and lightweight analytics to understand what content resonates. We do not sell your data, run behavioral ad networks, or share personal data with data brokers.
7. Data Retention
Account and subscription records are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period after (typically up to 7 years for financial records, as required by law). You may request account deletion via Contact.
8. Your Rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information about you (or your minor child) via the Contact page. Residents of jurisdictions with additional rights (e.g. California, EU) may exercise those rights the same way.
9. Children Under 13
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Parents who believe we have collected such information should contact us for removal.
10. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on managed infrastructure with row-level security. No system is perfectly secure — we recommend using a strong, unique password on your account.
11. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and active users notified by email when required.
